This Week's Journal
Why Iām Going Offline for a Few Days
For the last few months, Iāve been running at 200mph.
Building communities.
Hosting events.
Taking calls nonstop.
Flying city to city.
Living inside notifications, calendars, and deadlines.
And at some point, I forgot what it felt like to fully disconnect.
So this week, Iām doing something I havenāt done in a long time:
Taking some time off and going to Lightning in a Bottle.
Not for networking.
Not for content.
Not for business development.
Just to dance.
Which sounds simpleā¦ until you realize how rare it is as an adult to do something with absolutely no outcome attached to it.
No KPI.
No ROI.
No pitch.
No growth strategy.
Just music, art, people, energy, and presence.
Honestly, I think a lot of founders, operators, and investors are more exhausted than we admit.
Weāve normalized living permanently āon.ā
Even our hobbies become optimization projects.
Even our weekends become networking events.
Somewhere along the way, rest started feeling unproductive.
But Iām starting to realize something:
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is reconnect with being human again.
Dance.
Laugh.
Disappear into the crowd.
Watch the sunrise.
Talk to strangers.
Remember thereās still a world outside your inbox.
So if you see me offline this weekā¦
Iām probably somewhere in wonderland, finally letting myself breathe again.
