But before I share more details, I want to take a moment to reflect on what Thanksgiving means to me this year…
My Personal Thanksgiving Reflection
Thanksgiving hasn’t always been easy for me.
After my divorce, the holidays felt less traditional, more complicated, and often lonely. The images of ‘perfect’ families on TV and social media didn’t reflect my reality, and the gap between what I imagined and what i was experiencing was hard to bridge. Holidays can stir up many emotions, especially for those of us navigating loss, transitions, or big life changes.
But this year, I decided to smile.
Because Thanksgiving isn’t just about tradition — it’s about connection, love, and belonging.
For me, that sense of family and thankfulness has grown into something truly special:
✨ The laughter of my two children, who remind me of what’s most important.
✨ This community that feels like home.
✨ The opportunity to support women building their dreams.
✨ All of YOU — subscribers who believe in me and our mission to make tech more diverse and inclusive.
If Thanksgiving feels tough for you, you’re not alone. It’s okay to miss what was or struggle with what is. Thanksgiving is a reminder that life’s changes, no matter how hard, can lead us to unexpected blessings.
This year, I’m smiling not because everything is perfect, but because I’ve learned to find joy in the imperfection, and find strength in the community around me.
