It's Not Healing
They say time heals all wounds…
but yours cut so deep.
Some days you’re fine.
Some days you’re not sure what you feel.
And some days it’s both at the same time.
The scar it left is something you learned to live around instead of through.
You don’t always talk about it.
But you feel it in small moments.
A memory you didn’t call back.
A feeling you thought was gone.
And the truth is…
most people don’t really “move on” the way it looks from the outside.
They just get better at carrying it.
They smile.
They work.
They go out.
They build.
But something still sits underneath it all.
They say time heals all wounds…
but yours isn’t healing. It’s just staying there.
Like a song in my head I can’t unhear.
It plays when I'm alone.
It plays when I'm distracted.
It plays when I think I finally forgot.
And maybe that’s what nobody really says out loud:
Some things don’t fully heal.
They just stop hurting in a way people can see.
And you learn to carry them
like they were always part of you.
